If you can’t Swim, Learn to Fly.

Independent stories from the depths.

Gabe is a screenwriter, director, playwright, cinematographer, and music producer working across disciplines in development, production, and post. He approaches storytelling through structure, sound, and visual design, shaping projects from early conception through final delivery. He is drawn to intimate, character-driven stories shaped by memory, sound, and internal conflict, often building narratives from emotional structure as much as plot. Working fluidly across disciplines, he develops projects from first idea through final cut, with an emphasis on tone, restraint, and emotional honesty.

What Sets Can’t Swim Apart…

Collaborative by Design

Our process is grounded in open exchange and rigorous creative dialogue. We work closely with collaborators at every stage, prioritizing clarity, respect, and shared problem-solving. Strong ideas are refined through collective thinking, not individual authority.

Built Together

Formed at Wesleyan University, we developed our process through years of shared productions and training. Our long-standing collaboration allows us to work with speed, trust, and consistency while maintaining a high standard of craft. The result is an efficient workflow built on deep alignment.

Integrated Craft

We develop projects across writing, production, design, sound, and post to preserve creative intent from concept through completion. This continuity ensures tonal cohesion, technical precision, and narrative focus at every stage. Nothing is passed forward without intention.
